Chewbacca Feet, Bandolier and Reveal
Eight years in the making, my Chewbacca build is finally finished. In this finale, I build durable Wookiee feet (custom urethane toes + removable latch-hooked fur covers) and tackle the deceptively complex Force Awakens bandolier with 3D modeling, printing, molding/casting, painting, and leatherwork.
Then we take the full suit to the Hollywood Christmas Parade with the Rebel Legion, walking the full 3.2-mile route and experiencing the moment this Star Wars costume stops being “a project” and starts bringing people real joy.
